Grant Name: Health Professional Education Bursary Program

This program supports people who live or have lived in Yukon to attend a health education program to prepare them for front line entry into 1 of the identified priority areas within the health sector

A minimum of 6 new students receives the bursary for 4 years of study.


  • Canadian citizens or permanent residents who live or have lived in Yukon.
  • Yukon Students enrolled in a Canadian health education or nursing program.
  • Students who received the Yukon Grant.
  • Students not eligible for student financial assistance from a jurisdiction outside Yukon.
  • Students not already being supported by the department of Health and Social Services for health profession education program.
  • Yukon students who have already started their studies can apply for the remaining period in their education.

  1. Complete the health professional’s education application form and make sure you have all the required documents
  2. Submit your application.

Funding Amount

  • 2 bursaries will be awarded for $5,000 to the 2-top-scored students for a maximum of $20,000
  • 4 bursaries will be awarded for $2,500 for a maximum of $10,000
