The Policy Dialogue Program aims to support effective engagement in the development of policies, guidance, regulations and legislation related to impact assessment.

This funding is provided outside the context of an assessment process. These funds support dialogue with the Agency through:

  • collaboration on the development of impact assessment policies and guidance documents;
  • technical and regional workshops;
  • the Technical Advisory Committee and Indigenous Advisory Committee; and
  • other stakeholder engagement.


Eligible recipients for contribution funding include:

  • Individuals.
  • Indigenous communities and organizations; and
  • Not-for-profit organizations.

To be eligible for contribution funding under the Policy Dialogue Program, applicants must be able to demonstrate a direct interest, expertise or Indigenous knowledge relevant to the topic of the policy. Applicants who have expertise in policy development, tools, methodologies and guidance are also eligible.

Applicants can submit an expression of interest, application or proposal for the posted opportunity using the Microsoft Word or PDF format. Program Guidelines will be made available depending on specific funding opportunities and will include information on program requirements and criteria.
