Grant Name: Student Aid – Part-Time Program







If you are a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador, you may be eligible to receive financial assistance while studying part-time at a designated post-secondary institution


  • You are a Canadian citizen (as defined in the Citizenship Act), permanent resident or have protected person (as defined in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act), or a person registered as an Indian (under the Indian Act)
  • You are a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • You have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number
  • You have demonstrated financial need
  • You pass a credit check (only for first time applicants 22 years of age or older)
  • You are not in default on previous federal and/or provincial student loans
  • You are pursuing part-time studies at a designated educational institution
  • You are enrolled part-time in a program of study leading to a degree, diploma or certificate that is at least 12 weeks in duration that has a full-time equivalent
  • You are enrolled in 20%-59% of a full course load
  • You successfully completed all courses for which previous part-time funding was issued
