You could be eligible for the Work/Study Program, an initiative that helps find employment within the educational institution for students who face financial difficulties due to exceptional circumstances. Since the Program is intended to encourage participants to pursue post-secondary studies, the number of work hours is limited to avoid adversely affecting school performance.
- you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a refugee or a protected person within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- must be studying full-time during the fall and winter study periods
- must have applied for financial assistance under the Loans and Bursaries Program for the current award year
